Movie Catering

Why should you trust us?

CateringUnlimited.com
is the dominant motion and still picture caterer on the Central Coast of California ( Ventura to Monterey ). We have a proven "track record" of providing dependable location catering to the motion picture and television industries.

Management and staff are professional, courteous, ready, willing and able to "roll with the punches" with a "can-do' attitude.  We specialize in high quality on-time location cuisine.  We are skilled in accommodating last minute changes, special requests and circumstances in a fast, service-oriented manner. We also handle extreme locations and inclement weather.

We bring our extensive experience to bear when collaborating with you on menu planning to meet your needs over multi-day or prolonged shoots.  We cater to your special dietary needs, including "Atkins", vegetarian, vegan, low sodium, low fat/cholesterol free, "Zone", macrobiotic or other diets upon request.

We have a large commercial kitchen as well as the capacity to set up "field restaurants" complete our EZUP tents, tables, chairs, BBQ's, china and polished silverware.

What should you expect?

Every production has unique needs. However in general, location menus are discussed and planned in advance as possible.  For lengthy shoots, our catering team often create menus with in set guidelines and with direction from your production team.  Typically, a "head count" is given in advance (the night beforte) by the production team to our owner. Many times, the actual number served exceeds the "head count". It makes sense to have a Production Assistant watch food lines to ensure that only cast and crew are permitted (if appropriate).  Additionally, put a notice on the daily call sheet that all guests must be approved by production.

Average meals typically range in price between $11 (Breakfast)-$25 (Dinner) per person, Chefs and Equipment "on location" fee between $100 - $350 per day with an 18 % Service Charge and 7.25 % sales tax.  The terms for catering location shoots are 50% down payment due before production begins with the balance due on the final day of shooting.  For long term engagements a payment schedule is created.  Our pricing is competitive and our product is consistent.

What's the Bottom Line?

Your production cannot afford the potential disruption of an ill-prepared inexperienced caterer… they are everywhere.  In the field, "time is money" and food which is not ready when you need it will result in ‘000's of dollars in additional expenses.  On remote shoots, food is essential to morale.  Exceptional hot food served when required makes for a happy and productive crew and cast.

We appreciate your business and do not take it for granted.  Please contact us for additional information.
